Kissa

An idol belonging to Rhythm Link who specializes in crossdressing. He has worked under Rhythm Link even before Ensemble Square was established, and has been an accomplished idol for many years. He is very close to Hajime and Ra*bits members respect him as a senior.

Appearance

Kissa's appearance as an idol focuses on cuteness, wearing a variety of things such as baby outfits and animal costumes. He frequently crossdresses for his work, earning him the title of a "beautiful girl idol" despite being a man. It is also implied that Kissa enjoys feminine western clothing even in a casual setting.

Personality

Kissa is a hard working idol who does all he can to upkeep a perfect image as a crossdressing idol. He is dedicated to his work to a point that many find hard to achieve. It is mentioned that he changed almost every aspect about himself to fit the image of a crossdressing idol, even voice training to sound more feminine and asking people to avoid using his given name due to it being too masculine sounding.While Kissa is dedicated to his work, he also finds time to dote on his juniors. Despite being a perfect idol, Kissa is a much less perfect person when it comes to relationships. While meaning well, Kissa's doting can be taken to a point that is uncomfortable for the other person by disregarding the others boundaries. Kissa is also seen to be a little pushy.

Trivia

Kissa's stage name was derived from his last name, Kisaki.
Most characters in the series refer to him as the "pretty girl" or "bishoujo" idol.
Ibara mentions most characters in the series do not refer to Bishoujo by his stage name due to it being embarrassing to say out loud. Kissa sounds like "kiss" in Japanese (キッス kissu) with -a in the end.
Bishoujo does not like being called by his given name because it is too masculine.
Due to how no one has called him by his given name since he became an idol, his real name is not much known. Most people in Ensemble Square only know his last name, Kisaki. Some notable people who know his given name are Rin, the RhyLink President, and Gatekeeper.
SPOILER It is revealed that his given name is Shouhei.
Bishoujo's age is also not much known, but Ibara compared Bishoujo to the old "Super Idols" - alluding to the fact that he might be around the same age as Seiya. Later it was revealed that his age was 26 during the first year of Ensemble Stars!!.
Bishoujo has done voice training to sound more feminine.
While magazines will call Bishoujo a "Pretty Sister", the characters in the series refer to Bishoujo as a "man" and in the English translation masculine personal pronouns are used to refer to Bishoujo.
Some fans and fan translators use gender-neutral personal pronouns to refer to Bishoujo since there is still ambiguity over whether Bishoujo would prefer masculine or feminine terms to be used. In Japanese, Bishoujo uses "boku" to refer himself on stage but he uses all pronouns (watashi, atashi, ore) off stage.
Early on, Ra*bits used Bishoujo as a reference for their work. Because of that, they met up in person a few times before Sweet Halloween took place.
Izumi says Bishoujo is well known overseas, but rather than being famous Bishoujo simply "stands out, and not always in a good way".
Ibara has commented how Bishoujo seems so flawless he doesn't even seem human.
Ibara also said Bishoujo is like a "machine following a program".
Ibara and Hajime both comment on the fact that most people would not be able to complete work the same way Bishoujo does, due to how "perfect" he is.
Despite being described as "perfect", it has been mentioned that Bishoujo himself may be facing the shortcomings of solo work, leading to his increased interest in forming a unit with Hajime.
Ibara also alludes to the fact that Bishoujo's approach to idol work is outdated.

Hajime ShinoHajime calls him "Bishoujo-senpai". Bishoujo is very fond of Hajime. He used to consider Hajime his successor, and while that has changed due to Hajime's rejection, he still wants Hajime to fill that role. He has invited Hajime to form a duo unit multiple times, and even offered financial support and training from his agency. Hajime rejected his advances every time. Despite that, the two do work such as TV programs together now that Hajime works under Rhythm Link. Sometimes Bishoujo will practice with Hajime and give Hajime health tips. The two text each other often, and hang out with each other on occasion. Bishoujo checks social media often, and lets Hajime know when people are talking about him. Bishoujo came to Hajime's birthday party in the Rhythm Link Office. Hajime and Bishoujo have been referred to as the "Prettiest Sisters among Male Idols".While Kissa is dedicated to his work, he also finds time to dote on his juniors, specifically Hajime. Kissa has bought clothing for Hajime, offered jobs to Hajime, practices with Hajime, and regularly texts Hajime due to his admiration for the boy.
